Bircher muesli recipe


I love whipping up a big batch of Bircher muesli on a Sunday afternoon for breakfast for the  following week.

It’s such a simple and delicious meal that keeps me full for ages and I never get bored of, because there are so many different combinations of flavours you can make.

Here’s the recipe for my go-to version:

Bircher Muesli Recipe


  • 2 ½ cups rolled oats

  • ½ cup almonds

  • ½ cup sultanas

  • 1 cup coconut flakes

  • ¼ cup chia seeds

  • 1 heaped teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Apple juice, enough to cover the mix


Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Transfer mix to container.  

Pour over apple juice, cover and leave overnight.


To serve, mix through some natural yoghurt and top with seasonal fruit.

Super easy and super delicious!
